A new public announcement is targeting women voters. The effort to mobilize unmarried women is headed by Women's Voices: Women Vote, a non-partisan organization working to increase the participation of single women in our democracy.
Women are the fastest growing and largest segment of the U.S. population. Half of American women are not married and represent 26 percent of all eligible voters. A majority of American households are now headed by a single person, yet women are the least likely to vote.
