Executive Assistant

Women's Voices. Women Vote., a Washington, DC-based non-profit organization, has an immediate opening for an Executive Assistant. Successful candidate will help develop and provide administrative support for our D.C. office.


The Executive Assistant reports to the President and is responsible for providing administrative support to the President and the Executive Director, as well as coordinating communications with organizational team. Individual will play an active role in all organization functions in a fast-paced office and assist in the implementation of all program, research, communication, and fund raising activities.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing administrative support for Executive Director and President, including correspondence, answering phones, maintaining files, etc.
  • Producing memos, graphs and powerpoint presentations.
  • Preparing meeting agendas and related materials for Board meetings, strategy meetings and conference calls.
  • Managing the organizational calendar of the Executive Director and President.
  • Maintaining organizational contact lists and office files.
  • Creating standards for public materials.
  • Assisting with organizational outreach.
  • Representing the organization, often as a first point of contact

Qualifications for this position include:

  • Superior written and verbal communication skills as well as interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Proactive, with strong organizational skills and attention-to-detail.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications including: MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Must have the ability to learn new applications and programs as needed.
  • Excellent research skills, particularly with on-line sources.
  • Possess a high level of professionalism and confidentiality; a professional demeanor, and ability to maintain composure under deadline.
